Hatch the First Dinosaurs
The adventure begins with dinosaur eggs waiting to be opened. Collect coins from the game screen and use them to buy more eggs, then tap the shells to speed up the hatching process. New hatchlings give you more pieces to work with as you build your prehistoric collection.
Merge Two to Grow Stronger
The main progression in Dino Merge comes from combining two identical dinosaurs. Drag matching creatures together to create a stronger species, then repeat the process to unlock larger and more powerful dinosaurs. Keeping your smaller creatures organized makes it easier to find the pairs needed for the next evolution.
Build Your Dinosaur Defense
Your upgraded dinosaurs can be moved into the three defense positions at the top of the screen. These slots determine which creatures take part in the battle against the approaching threat. Stronger merged dinosaurs give your defense more power as the prehistoric challenge becomes harder.
Break the Asteroid Before Impact
A flaming ring displays the asteroid's remaining strength as a number. Launch the available shots at the ring to reduce that value until it reaches zero. The countdown creates a simple battle objective: upgrade your dinosaurs quickly enough to bring down the incoming threat before it reaches Earth.
Unlock Prehistoric Species
As you continue merging, the dinosaur lineup grows from small hatchlings into recognizable prehistoric creatures. The species shown in the game include:
- Velociraptor - a small green dinosaur with sharp claws.
- Tyrannosaurus Rex - the pink and brown T-Rex forms shown in the lineup.
- Parasaurolophus - an orange dinosaur with a long backward-curving crest.
- Spinosaurus - a brown dinosaur with a tall back sail.
- Stegosaurus - a green dinosaur with large plates along its back.
- Triceratops - a blue dinosaur with three facial horns.
- Pteranodon - a flying prehistoric reptile shown among the creatures; technically, it is a pterosaur rather than a dinosaur.
